Sheboygan, Wisconsin - September 19, 2014 - American Orthodontics’ inaugural Harmony Users Group meeting brought more than 70 doctors and staff from around the world to participate in lectures, discussions, and hands-on application of the Harmony Digital Lingual System.

Representatives from 12 different countries attended the meeting at American Orthodontics’ home office in Sheboygan, Wisconsin on September 11 and 12.

The event included two separate tracks - one for hands-on training, and one for clinical lectures. Dr. Graça Guimarães (Sáo Paolo, Brazil), and Dr. Martin Casale Rozo (Bogota, Colombia) led the hands-on track, which included demonstrations and hands-on training on impressions, bonding, and debonding. Clinical lecturers included Dr. Bart Vande Vannet (Brussels, Belgium), Dr. Jean Francois Cuzin (Nancy, France), Dr. Paolo Manzo (Naples, Italy), Dr. Brandon Comella (Rochester, NY), Dr. Stephan Tisseront (Reston, VA), and Dr. Isao Matsuno (Tokyo, Japan).  Dr. Cliff Alexander (Dallas, TX) served as moderator. Dr. Shigeyuki Okuda (Tokyo, Japan) also took part in the roundtable discussion. Lecture topics included biomechanics, Harmony tips and tricks, marketing, and case studies.

“The lecture on biomechanics was one of the best lingual lectures I have heard,” said Dr. Leslie Pitner of Columbia, South Carolina. “This is exactly the kind of information doctors need from this type of event.”

“To be able to have so many world-class speakers and Harmony users together for this event was just amazing,” says American Orthodontics Harmony Product Manager Julie Lindman. “We really hope participants came away with a better understanding of the Harmony system and how they can best utilize it in their practice.”

Besides the Harmony sessions at the AO home office, the event included a tour of the AO factory, and a trip to the famous Road America Speedway in Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin.
