Henry Schein Orthodontics Promotes New General Manager
Henry Schein recently announced that Ted Dreifuss was promoted to general manager of Henry Schein Orthodontics.

Dreifuss has more than 30 years of sales, marketing and general management experience in the medical and dental device sectors, including the orthodontic industry. He joined Henry Schein five years ago as vice president of marketing for the Global Dental Specialties Group, and later assumed responsibility for the commercial activities such as sales, marketing, customer service and new product development of Henry Schein's orthodontic portfolio.

Ormco Announces New Feature for Damon Braces Doctor Locator
Ormco recently announced a "schedule-an-appointment" feature for its Damon Braces Doctor Locator, a website and mobile app that enables prospective patients to find the nearest orthodontist offering Damon System braces. The new feature allows consumers to schedule an initial consultation with their selected orthodontist directly through the streamlined orthodontist search portal.

To access the new feature within the Damon Doctor Locator, consumers click the "Schedule Appointment" button beneath the name of a provider and submit their name, email address, phone number and preferred appointment time. Providers are electronically notified of the appointment request so they may follow up and schedule the appointment directly with the consumer.

AAO Webinar Series Registration Opens
The American Association of Orthodontists (AAO) has opened registration for its 2017–2018 webinar series for member doctors.

Upcoming webinars include Andrew Tucker's "Measuring Orthodontic Effectiveness" and Dr. Leon Klempner's "Why Your Digital Marketing Isn't Working." Both webinars are free to all members as part of the Business of Orthodontics series. Each participant who completes a doctor's webinar or Business of Orthodontics webinar will earn 1.0 CE credit.

For orthodontic staff, the AAO is offering a webinar titled "OSHA Safety Rocks! For Ortho Teams" by Jackie Dorst. Each webinar costs $40 per practice. Each participant who completes an orthodontic staff webinar will earn 1.0 CE credit.
