CE in the Comfort of Your Home!
Creating Certainty and Confidence with Indirect Bonding
Speaker: Larry White, DDS, MSD, FACD
Indirect bonding offers orthodontic clinicians a superior technique for adhering brackets to teeth, but few of them use this method. The neglect of this procedure has many origins, e.g., expense, expertise necessary, inconsistent results, etc. This course presents an indirect bonding system that orthodontists can use to expedite their bonding appointments and make them more pleasant for doctors and their patients.
Manage Your Treatment Process Efficiently and Effectively
Speaker: Al Atta, DDS, MSD, MBA
This course is an introduction to the business of orthodontics, where our treatment
process must be managed according to the accepted business function and
business intelligence to ensure on-time efficiency and with controlled cost for
continuous cash flow effectiveness. In a currently stressed market both are survival
issues. This course will define the clinical practice efficiency ratio. You will
learn to identify and measure it so you can utilize it as the core factor in determining
your schedule.
Advanced Uses and Tips of the Forsus Appliance for the
Class II Malocclusion
Speaker: Robert Miller, DMD
This one hour course will provide the clinician with tips to enhance the application
of the Forsus FReD device. The information in this presentation covers
a variety of clinical applications that go beyond the basic instruction video
Unitek provides. Topics covered include tips on how to reduce breakage and
improve patient comfort. This presentation will also introduce the X-bow appliance,
a replacement for Herbst but has the benefit of shorter treatment times.
The Rationale for Extractions in Class II Malocclusions
Speaker: Larry White, DDS, MSD, FACD
Charles Tweed and Raymond Begg had enormous influence on the orthodontic
profession by popularizing the remove of maxillary and mandibular premolars
in the treatment of Class II malocclusions. That protocol still enjoys outsized
and undeserved esteem. This presentation will display theoretically and clinically
how and why that practice often leads to clinical failure. Clinicians will see
some alternative therapies that have more rational bases and much higher
chances of success, and doctors can immediately implement these ideas. |
