Zipwhip
Businesses can now use their existing landline numbers to field inquiries, schedule appointments and invite their patients to text them back through Zipwhip, a company that enables texting capabilities for landlines. Through Zipwhip's service, business owners don't have to rely on their personal mobile numbers to text their patients and create a two-way conversation.

Dr. Michael Kitsis of Supertooth Dentistry in Seattle said Zipwhip's service transformed his practice's landline phone number into a powerful scheduling tool and streamlined the entire appointment process for his patients. His dental hygienists encourage patients to text them post-appointment with any questions. For more information, call or text (206) 582-3733, or visit www.zipwhip.com. .

i-CAT Debuts New Treatment-Planning Software at AAO
i-CAT released its Tx STUDIO 5.4 treatment-planning software at the American Association of Orthodontists Annual Session in May. Fully integrated and created exclusively for i-CAT cone-beam 3D imaging products, Tx STUDIO delivers new treatment tools for dentists and specialists working with implants, airway, TMD, orthodontics, and surgical procedures.

In addition to its existing capabilities, Tx STUDIO 5.4 also offers new and improved tools. Useful for treatment planning and patient communication, these new features include an enhanced abutment design that allows the crown to be placed onto the abutment and prepped teeth, as well as simulation of pontics and bridges. Tx STUDIO treatment software is included with new i-CAT cone beam 3D scanners, giving general dentists and specialists the tools to place and restore implants; perform oral surgery, periodontics, prosthodontics, and orthodontics; utilize CAD/CAM applications; and analyze TMJ and airway with greater confidence and lower radiation options.
