3M Launches Tablet-Based Mobile Intraoral Scanner
3M recently announced the launch of its Mobile True Definition Scanner, a tablet- based intraoral scanner that fits in your hand.
The compact, ergonomic design allows clinicians to move freely between operatories without power cords or carts. Flexible mounting options help to minimize workspace clutter, offering more space for the clinician and assistant to maneuver in small spaces.
Informed discussion and visual patient communication is made easy with a system that can be placed directly into the hands or lap of a patient, where they can experience a digital visualization of their oral anatomy and, ultimately, a better understanding of proposed treatments.

Henry Schein Announces Commitment of $50,000 to Support AAO
Henry Schein recently announced its commitment of $50,000 to The American Association of Orthodontists (AAO) for its Donated Orthodontic Services (DOS) program.
The donation will be made available through Henry Schein Cares, the company’s global social responsibility program, and Henry Schein Orthodontics.
Henry Schein’s donation will help the DOS program provide pro bono orthodontic treatment for economically disadvantaged children who lack insurance coverage or who do not qualify for other dental health assistance in the states where they live.
Since its creation in 2009, the DOS program has expanded from five to 10 state-sponsored programs and nationwide access where volunteering orthodontists are matched with patients most in need of care as identified by AAO and Dental Lifeline Network. Henry Schein Cares and Henry Schein Orthodontics’ contribution will underwrite the costs for materials, supplies and equipment needed to deliver patient care.
