Rhea Occlusal Appliance
Exclusively from Great Lakes, the Rhea occlusal appliance is the solution to poor-fitting, uncomfortable splints. It combines the accuracy of a laboratory-made splint with the ease of a boil and bite appliance.
The appliance is fabricated with material unlike any other heat-softening material on the market and provides exceptional fit, retention, and patient comfort. Rather than softening to temporarily engage undercuts, the Rhea appliance will re-form to subtle differences in the patient's dentition, and compensate for slight inaccuracies in impressions and the deformities caused by plaster expansion.
Rhea occlusal appliances are custom-formed to original models and chairside seating is only necessary to adjust for minor variations.

Beta Titanium Molybdenum Archwires
Highland Metals has launched its new Beta Titanium Molybdenum archwires to take the place of its Beta Blue wire line. The new wire is designed to provide improved function and performance within the company's nickel-free wire product offerings.
The wires are manufactured in the United States using a diamond drawing process, and proprietary mechanical polishing technology that the company says "ensures smoother surfaces for improved sliding mechanics and a brighter, more attractive finish."
The wires have half the force, but twice the working range of stainless steel, allowing clinicians to introduce larger wires earlier into their patient cases for better torque control with minimal patient discomfort. Beta Titanium Molybdenum is designed to be an alternative when the forces of stainless steel are too high and the force levels of NiTi are too low.
The Beta Titanium Molybdenum wires are available in 25 packs of round or rectangular arch forms in the company's most popular sizes.

Mini Exspider
LeoneAmerica, a division of American Tooth Industries, recently introduced the Mini Exspider Fan-Type Rapid Expansor Ortho Screw. The mini size measures at 7mm.
Fabricated from biomedical stainless steel, the expanding arms are laser-welded to the screw body with laser-engraved directional arrows. The mini-sized Exspider screw allows widening of the single anterior sector of the maxillary arch while still maintaining expansion at the molar level.
