Roncone Orthodontics Releases New JSOP Dates
Roncone Orthodontics released new dates for Just Short of Perfect (JSOP) 33, with the first session held Jan. 25, 2018, in San Diego. JSOP is a one-year course, consisting of three sessions led by Dr. Ron Roncone.
JSOP follows a Six Sigma approach to orthodontics, which dictates that processes are continuously analyzed to find areas of improvement to achieve measurable and quantifiable returns. For example, making what seems like an insignificant schedule change could pay off in added practice revenue. Throughout the course, Roncone provides an overview of small changes in the practice that make a difference in the bottom line.
Roncone has graduated 522 orthodontists worldwide since the first JSOP session. Each program graduate becomes a part of a group of orthodontists called the Orthobarbarians. The Orthobarbarian study club meets once a year and is open to JSOP graduates only.

OrthoAccel Names
David Josza as CEO
OrthoAccel Technologies’ board of directors has named David Josza, an orthodontic and dental industry senior executive with more than 25 years of experience, as its new CEO. A privately owned medical technology startup, OrthoAccel recently launched its third-generation vibratory orthodontic device, AcceleDent Optima.
Josza most recently served as corporate vice president and general manager for Zimmer Biomet Dental, a global manufacturer of musculoskeletal devices. He joined Zimmer in 2015 when the company acquired his previous firm, Biomet. Among his accomplishments, he successfully implemented cost-saving initiatives and cross-selling opportunities that yielded significant profit increases and growth.
Before the acquisition, Josza had a 14-year career at Biomet 3i, a global implant and oral reconstructive supplier, most recently serving as vice president of the Americas. As a member of the executive board, he was responsible for developing and delivering the company’s annual strategic plan.
In addition to his leadership roles at Zimmer and Biomet, Josza’s experience includes previous business development, strategic planning and management responsibilities at Henry Schein and Stryker.
