SmartClick RPE
Great Lakes’ SmartClick RPE features a unique anti-unscrewing system, auditory feedback, hygienic housing and telescopic components. The product is user-friendly, safe and stable, offering clinicians and parents peace of mind.

SmartClick RPE’s anti-unscrewing system eliminates backup. As the screw is expanded, users hear a click at each turn, ensuring that no partial backup occurs when removing the key. A slightly beveled hole allows for easier key insertion, and the hole aligns easily for the next activation. Its unique housing is designed for maximum hygiene and prevents the expansion key from passing through the screw and affecting the palate.

Additional features include overlapped telescopic components to maximize stability, even at full expansion, and the single-looped arms are laser-welded for strength and durability. A laser-marked graduated scale offers a visual expansion check throughout treatment, assuring clinicians and parents they have fully completed each turn on the expander.

The SmartClick RPE is available in 8mm, 10mm and 12mm sizes. For more information, call 800-828-7626 or visit greatlakesortho.com.

BracePaste
American Orthodontics has added BracePaste, a medium viscosity light-curable adhesive, to its product offerings. The product bonds both metal and ceramic brackets, and is designed to minimize bracket drift and provide easy flash cleanup.

American Orthodontics began developing the adhesive in 2014 and it has undergone many hours of development and global testing. BracePaste allows for immediate arch wire tie-in after light curing and the adhesive fluoresces under UV light to assist in clean up. It is stored at room temperature and is compatible with most light-cure orthodontic sealants and bond enhancers.

KaVo OP 3D
KaVo Imaging Solutions recently released the KaVo OP 3D, a new entry-level 3-D imaging system.

The OP 3D can serve a wide range of imaging needs as a complete X-ray platform that makes imaging workflow more efficient with intuitive and easy-to-use programs. The system enables clinicians to select region of interest, image resolution and field of view to optimize patient dose.

In addition, the system is a sustainable green solution. Where lead is typically used for tube head radiation shielding, the system is designed with a more ecological and environmentally friendly alternative, providing equivalent radiation attenuation. The power save feature also reduces overall energy consumption.
