Without a consistently worn retention device, teeth can continue to shift after orthodontic treatment is complete.* Once bracket or aligner treatment is completed, orthodontists can help protect patients’ smiles long term with a flexible, durable Memotain bonded retainer
AOA Lab has exclusive manufacturing rights in North America for this advanced retainer technology. With the use of CAD/CAM software, AOA technicians set up a patient’s arch in occlusion before fabrication, leading to control of optimal placement and a contoured fit.
Each Memotain wire is custom-made to fit a patient’s unique tooth contours; this feature allows AOA to help reduce the size of the wire based on the number of contact points on each tooth and, simultaneously, to increase patient comfort.
In addition to traditional placement on the lower arch, Memotain is designed for treatment of the upper jaw. Its memory-based metal helps maintain shape integrity and, with the use of the transfer tray, makes delivery fast and predictable.
Using Memotain’s cutting-edge technology, the reduced size of the lingual wire and the pseudoelastic nitinol material create the condition for optimal oral hygiene. With the reduced wire size, tooth decay, cavities, periodontal disease and tartar formation can be minimized, and dental floss can be used both above and underneath the Memotain retainer.
For added value, Memotain can also be bundled with another popular AOA retention product, Prezurv. Both products retain and can be fabricated at the same time. They also can be taken from a single scan and delivered at the same time.
