BrackFix
Voco recently introduced BrackFix, a light-cured bracket bonding system designed to simplify the removal of residual adhesive by making it easily visible as it fluoresces under UV light. The system will ensure all adhesive is removed after removal of the brackets, while minimizing if not eliminating unnecessary damage to the tooth itself. This should also speed up the bracket removal process, because all material to be removed is immediately visible.

The consistency and viscosity of BrackFix is designed so that brackets can be positioned precisely, do not slip and stay in their intended position. This simplifies application and allows clinicians to take as much time as needed.

Magnetic Allen Pencil
DynaFlex recently announced the launch of the newly designed CS Allen pencil, which has been designed to make placement of the CS system quicker and safer.

Once the pencil has been charged, using a rare-earth magnet, it uses magnetic forces to latch on to the screw. The screw is easily retrievable out of the kit and remains on the pencil for placement and tightening within the patient’s mouth.

The CS4 system is a Class II and Class III chairside correction appliance. The system’s spring is made from a nickel–titanium material with specially built keyhole ends that improve the strength and durability by 40% from previous versions. CS4 systems are available for purchase in two-, five- and 10-patient kits. All kits come with the new magnetic Allen pencil.
