Virtual AAO Meeting Breaks Records With More Than 11,000 Attendees
The American Association of Orthodontists virtual meeting held May 2–3 had the highest number of doctors registered in AAO history, with 11,222 registrants and 93?countries represented. Attendees qualified for access to 12 CE credits, and those who stayed for programming sponsored by the AAO Foundation were able to access an additional three lectures and CE?credits.
Attendees heard keynotes from Drs. Neal Kravitz, Kyle Fagala and Anil Idiculla, as well as lectures from world-renowned orthodontists and industry leaders. Lecture highlights included “Is Virtual Our New Reality? Virtual Orthodontic Visits Before, During and After a Global Pandemic” by Dr. Daniel Bills and “The Clinical Side of Two-Phase Treatments” by Dr.?Silvia Allegrini. The AAO is set to meet April 23–27 in Boston for AAO 2021.
Ultradent’s President Assumes CEO Duties Too
Ultradent Products has named its president, Dirk Jeffs, as its new CEO. He assumes the new role while retaining his position as company president.
Jeffs, who joined Ultradent in 1996, has led many of the company’s growth opportunities, including developing satellite operations in Europe, Japan, China and Brazil.
Ultradent founder Dr. Dan Fischer is shifting out of his longtime role as CEO and will remain active with the company as CEO emeritus. Fischer will be involved in a variety of capacities such as research and development projects, outreach and lecturing.
