Ormco Launches Online Store

Ormco recently introduced a mobile-optimized e-commerce site on which orthodontic practices are able to order items such as the Damon Ultima and Symetri Clear product lines, infection prevention products and more. Customers also can manage their accounts at the site:

WildSmiles Braces Awards $1,000 Scholarship to Orthodontic Resident
UNC Adams School of Dentistry orthodontic resident Dr. Erika Babikow recently earned a $1,000 scholarship from WildSmiles Braces for an essay that showcased her willingness to go the extra mile for patients.

WildSmiles presented Babikow with a check in May, during the American Association of Orthodontists conference in Miami.

Orthodontic residents enrolled in and in good standing at accredited orthodontic programs recognized by the AAO were asked to submit a thoughtful, 500-word-minimum essay to be considered for the scholarship, which can be put toward tuition and books. A panel of independent judges reviewed essays before the winner was selected.


DentalMonitoring Accuses Get-Grin of Patent Infringement
DentalMonitoring has filed a U.S. District Court lawsuit against Get-Grin, alleging infringement of two patents related to methods of analyzing images of patients’ dental arches.

The company considers the patented methods to be core parts of DentalMonitoring technology, which enables commercialization of teledental services in the United States.
