Report Forecasts Huge Growth in Global Ortho Market Through 2030

According to a February 2024 report by Renub Research, the global orthodontics market is expected to undergo significant growth and reach an approximate value of $14.38 billion by 2030.

Researchers say the growth will be driven by rising household disposable income, improved technologies that allow for more comfortable and efficient orthodontic treatment, and significant growth in the adult orthodontics segment, among other factors.

The market is expected to grow at a compound annual growth rate of 13.44% between 2024 and 2030, with North America leading the market because of its advanced health care facilities, experienced professionals and favorable insurance frameworks.

Minnesota Orthodontist Wins Innovation Award for Digitally Based Referral System

The American Association of Orthodontists awarded its 2024 AAO Ortho Innovator Award to Dr. Geoff Sudit and Liz Sudit, who created a digital referral service called Bright Referral.

Bright Referral users are able to transfer the contact information of referral doctors directly to the patient’s phone. The technology solution also allows referring and referred doctors to track and follow up with referred patients.

The annual award program, judged by the AAO Committee on Technology, is part of an ongoing effort to support innovation among orthodontists and partners in the industry. Businesses eligible to enter the competition offer new products or services for treatment or practice management. Judges evaluate each entry by its uniqueness, functionality or feasibility, and value for the orthodontic practice.

The award will be presented to the Sudits at this year’s AAO Annual Session.
