Amy Stafford Currently the North American director for The Invisible Orthodontist, Amy Stafford brings 30 years of experience to the profession. Her career has spanned roles including clinical assistant, treatment coordinator, marketing director and leadership positions in management and business development.

Inside this issue, she outlines a 12-month marketing blueprint on page 60 designed to help orthodontic practices increase patient engagement, strengthen referrals and drive sustainable growth into 2025 and beyond.

Named “SureSmile Treatment Coordinator of the Year” and certified in Disney Customer Experience, Stafford has trained teams nationwide. A Georgia native with a BFA in theatre performance from Valdosta State University, she brings a unique blend of creativity and strategy to orthodontic care. Outside of work, Stafford enjoys theatre, karaoke and cheering on the Georgia Bulldogs alongside her husband, Jerry, and their three children—Grayson, Stella and Lola.


Aaron Swapp Dr. Aaron Swapp breaks down the financial realities of selling to a DSO on page 56, comparing three scenarios that highlight how private practice ownership can lead to greater long-term wealth. A graduate of the University of Nevada, Las Vegas School of Dental Medicine, Swapp finished summa cum laude and received the top academic honors. He went on to complete his orthodontic residency and earn a master’s degree in oral biology at Texas A&M Baylor College of Dentistry, where he was recognized with the Baylor Orthodontic Oscar for best treated case. Swapp is a board-certified orthodontist and part-time faculty member at Baylor. His award-winning research on cortical bone damage and accelerated tooth movement earned the Watson Award from the American Journal of Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics.

Outside of the office, Swapp restores classic cars, hikes and camps with his family.


David A. Wank Dr. David A. Wank is a general dentist in New York City and the founder of Short Hills Design, a digital marketing agency serving health care clients across North America for over 16 years.

On page 50, he outlines the must-know local SEO strategies for 2025.

A graduate of Tufts University, Wank earned his DMD from the Harvard School of Dental Medicine in 2003 and completed his residency at Long Island Jewish Medical Center, where he served as chief resident.

In addition to practicing dentistry, he develops CE courses, authored The Small Business Website Owner’s Manual, and teaches widely on topics like SEO, Google Analytics and digital strategy. He’s also presented at the renowned tech conference WordCamps and runs popular training programs on local SEO and project management tools. Wank lives in Scotch Plains, New Jersey, with his wife and two sons. He’s a computer builder, amateur astronomer and proud Montreal Canadiens fan.
