Fremont, Calif.—OrthoFX has introduced FXIntegrated Buttons, a clear aligner feature designed to integrate buttons directly into the aligner. The company says the design eliminates the need for bonding, adhesives and secondary attachments.

The buttons are formed as a single piece from the same material as the aligner, which the company says improves durability and reduces the risk of deformation or separation seen with bonded or welded alternatives. The design also removes the need for aligner cutouts or slits, which can affect aligner integrity.

According to the company, the system is intended to reduce chair time, support more flexible elastic placement and improve patient comfort. OrthoFX says the integrated design may also reduce emergency visits related to button failure.

The product will be showcased at the American Association of Orthodontists Annual Session in Orlando, Fla., May 1-3, at booth #713, and is expected to be available for OrthoFX aligner systems in summer 2026.
