Boston, Mass.—LightForce Orthodontics has introduced LightBracket Metal, a patient-specific 3D-printed metal bracket designed as part of its generative braces system.

The system generates brackets from a digital treatment plan, allowing each appliance to be customized for an individual patient and tooth. According to the company, this approach is intended to improve precision and reduce the need for manual adjustments.

LightBracket Metal is produced using a proprietary 3D metal printing process and is customized across multiple dimensions, including base, slot and position. The brackets are available in multiple slot sizes and are designed to conform to individual tooth morphology. The company says the lower-profile design may improve comfort and reduce debond rates.

The product is rolling out to orthodontic practices and will be showcased at the American Association of Orthodontists Annual Session, May 1-3, in Orlando, Fla. Live demonstrations and hands-on access will be given at booth 1261.
