Tonawanda, N.Y.—Great Lakes Dental Technologies has introduced its Custom MARPE, a miniscrew-assisted rapid palatal expander designed to address maxillary transverse deficiency.

The appliance uses mini-implants anchored in the palatal bone to support skeletal expansion. Doctors specify the number and location of the miniscrews based on each patient’s treatment needs.

Great Lakes technicians provide an implant placement simulation based on the doctor’s prescription. The planning process includes digital implant positioning, CBCT verification and customer approval before fabrication.

The customized design is intended to support precise mini-implant placement and controlled expansion. Great Lakes Dental Technologies develops and manufactures orthodontic, restorative, dental, and sleep and airway products.
