Kansas City, MO (PRWEB) February 23, 2013 The Gini Awards are named in honor of Smiles Change Lives (SCL) founder, Mrs. Virginia "Gini" Brown whose vision and dedication has created a legacy of care for underserved children throughout the nation. This annual event honors the many orthodontic providers, volunteers, donors, sponsors, and board members who have gone above and beyond to support the mission of Smiles Change Lives. Through their dedication and commitment, SCL continues to inspire hope, raise self-esteem, and help change the lives of children across the country.
“The Gini Awards honor orthodontic provider, individual and corporate volunteerism. Because of their dedication and contribution of time, SCL is able to continue to inspire hope, raise self esteem and help change the lives of thousands of children across the country,” states Gracie Harrison, SCL Volunteer and Donor Care Coordinator.
SCL works with nearly 700 volunteer orthodontic providers nationwide and utilizes hundreds of volunteers in its Kansas City headquarters on a regular basis. Five individuals and three companies will be honored this year as remarkable ambassadors for SCL’s mission.
An awards ceremony and reception will be held Friday, March 22, 2013 5:30 – 7:00 p.m. at Ruth’s Chris Steak House in Kansas City, MO. An optional dinner will follow, with a portion of the proceeds being donated to SCL by Ruth’s Chris Steak House.
In recognition of their volunteerism and outstanding service to children’s oral health, the following individuals and organizations have been selected as honorees for the 3rd Annual Gini Awards.
