You Should Know:
Renew Digital
by Benjamin Lund, Editor, Orthotown Magazine
Orthotown Magazine sat down with co-founders of Renew Digital Bryan Delano and
Lyle Miller to discuss what the company is all about and why you should know it.
Tell me about Renew Digital and what you provide to
orthodontists.
Delano/Miller: Renew Digital is a leading provider of highquality
refurbished dental panoramic and cone beam systems to
dentists and dental specialists - including orthodontists - across
the United States and Canada. We are excited to announce our
recent expansion into international markets, as well.
What is your personal background prior to starting
Renew Digital? How did you get started in orthodontics?
Delano: Together, we have nearly a quarter of a century of
experience in orthodontic technology. I enjoy working with
orthodontists and their teams. For the past 12 years I have
held key management roles within the orthodontic divisions
of Carestream Dental (formerly Kodak Dental Systems),
360imaging and topsOrtho. This experience has helped provide
the product and industry knowledge necessary to co-found
and grow Renew Digital. Today I manage all of the company’s
operations - from marketing and communications to service
and support.
Miller: I started my career in the orthodontic profession over
a decade ago - first, as the leading orthodontic sales representative
at Carestream Dental (formerly Kodak Dental Systems) and
then as the national sales director with topsOrtho. My extensive
sales and industry experience has provided the framework necessary
for Bryan and I to start Renew Digital - and it’s growing
fast! I currently manage all of the financing and sales functions
at the company.
What is your philosophy at Renew Digital? What is
your goal?
Delano/Miller: Our philosophy is to provide the highest
quality dental X-ray and cone beam systems to orthodontists
and other dental professionals at a very affordable price. Our
goal is to deliver pre-owned equipment with a "new product
purchase experience." Our unique "one price guarantee,"
offered for all of our products, includes delivery (in the continental
United States), installation, training and a comprehensive
parts and onsite service warranty. We help you choose the right
product for your practice.
What would you consider to be the "best kept
secret" about Renew Digital?
Delano/Miller: In addition to our many years of dental/ortho industry experience, the entire Renew Digital team is comprised
of manufacturer-trained professionals. These highly experienced
team members personally inspect, remove, refurbish,
install, train and support all of our equipment. Because Renew
Digital "owns the process" from start to finish, we remain committed
to our customers every step along of the way.
What kind of service can orthodontists expect from
Renew Digital?
Delano/Miller: If you call to purchase an X-ray or cone
beam system, you will be assisted by one of our knowledgeable
sales representatives. Because Renew Digital’s sales team is "vendor
neutral," our experts can help find the X-ray or cone beam
system that’s best for you and your practice - regardless of make
or model.
Once you’ve selected your equipment, our implementation
specialists will work with you every step of the way - from
scheduling installations to working with your network technician
or architect to filing FDA documentation and more.
During installation, one of our experienced field engineers
will install and calibrate your unit then show you and your team
how to take picture-perfect images each and every time.
If you ever experience any post-installation issues, simply call
our toll-free support line for prompt telephone or onsite service.
On the other side, Renew Digital would love to buy or trade
your current digital X-ray or cone beam system. If you contact us
to sell your unit, one of our sales executives will ask for just a few
details such as the year it was manufactured, the exposure count
and serial number. Our implementations team will work with you
to coordinate the removal of your system with the installation of
your new equipment. If it is found to be in good working order,
we will provide full payment at the time of the removal.
How does someone contact Renew Digital if he or
she wishes to work with you?
Delano/Miller: Anyone interested in Renew Digital’s products
and services can contact the company by calling 888-246-5611, visiting
www.renewdigital.com or e-mailing info@renewdigital.com.
