  • Trios 3 Wireless Intraoral Scanner
3Shape launched a wireless version of its Trios intraoral scanner at the International Dental Show in Cologne, Germany.

The new Trios 3 Wireless connects via Wi-Fi to laptops and the Trios cart, which eliminates the need for a connecting cable between the intraoral scanner wand and computer.

To make scanning simpler, the Trios 3 Wireless wand, like in all Trios models, can be used to navigate between scan pages on the computer, so there's no need to touch the keyboard or mouse when scanning a patient.

The new product features an easy battery exchange for nonstop scanning and includes three long-lasting rechargeable batteries with the digital color impression solution. Technologies in the Trios 3 Wireless and all Trios color models include intraoral scanning in lifelike colors, both built-in shade measurement and an intraoral camera, and HD photos.

  • Orthophos SL
Dentsply Sirona Imaging's Orthophos SL offers 3-D information at the same dose level as 2-D images, appropriate for many clinical indications.

The 3-D I-X mode offers diagnostic optimization, intuitive selectability for an efficient workflow, intelligent technical realization and optimal clinical results. In addition to existing high-definition (HD) and standard-dose (SD) modes, the 3-D I-X mode gives users access to 3-D information for specific clinical issues with significantly reduced dose. The 3-D I-X is suitable for checking implant positions, performing sinus analysis, and determining the position of teeth.

  • Stratasys J700 Dental
Stratasys recently unveiled the Stratasys J700 Dental, a 3-D printer for clear-aligner mold production. The printer addresses increased demand for fast production of 3-D printed aligners as the industry incorporates new digital dentistry workflows.

Previewed at the 37th International Dental Show, the Stratasys J700 Dental can produce more than 400 clear aligner molds per day. The durable VeroDent material is suited for accelerated production, greater accuracy and minimal post-processing. The solution offers seamless digital workflows for large-volume production of patient-specific aligners on the same tray, also reducing requirements for manual post-curing or finishing.

The Stratasys J700 Dental is expected to be available later in 2017. For more information, visit stratasys.com.
