3Shape Indirect Bonding Application Now Integrated with Henry Schein Orthodontics Bracket Systems
3Shape recently announced that its indirect bonding orthodontic application is now digitally integrated with Henry Schein Orthodontics' bracket systems, enabling orthodontists and laboratories to virtually plan patient treatment, digitally place brackets, directly print transfer trays and eliminate the need for an analog model and vacuum press.

The bracket systems available from Henry Schein Orthodontics include Carriere SLX Self-Ligating Brackets, Maestro Mini-Twin Brackets and Neolucent Plus Ceramic Bracket Systems, which can be accessed directly from within 3Shape's orthodontic software.

Using 3Shape indirect bonding software, treatment planning and bracket placement of virtual libraries are made with a digital study model of the patient. Study models are created using a Trios intraoral scan, conventional impression scanner and/or a 3Shape dental lab scanner. After treatment planning, the bracket systems are placed in the patient using transfer trays, also designed with the 3Shape indirect bonding software and printed with a 3-D printer.

More than 150 original bracket libraries and orthodontic solution providers are integrated with 3Shape orthodontic software.

Dentsply Sirona Orthodontics Expands Options for Treating Minor Anterior Misalignments
Dentsply Sirona Orthodontics announced the expansion of treatment indications for the MTM (Minor Tooth Movement) Clear•Aligner. The aligner combines proven orthodontic techniques with digital modeling to provide dental professionals with a streamlined solution for treating minor anterior misalignments.

MTM Clear•Aligner is engineered to deliver the space and force needed to accomplish tooth movement. The technology utilizes an open pathway architecture that allows teeth to move easily into the desired positions. The aligner uses integrated "force points" to provide a greater range of tooth movements, while making aligner placement and removal easy for patients.
