3Shape E4 Scanner
3Shape has released its fastest lab scanner ever, the E4. To reduce scanning steps and save time for labs, the E4’s 4-by-5-megapixel cameras enable powerful impression scanning and scanning of dies while they’re still in the model. Like all 3Shape E models, the E4 features auto-start scanning and articulator holder support. The scanner can complete a full-arch scan in 11 seconds and is accurate within 4 microns.

The scanner will be available for purchase in August. For more information, visit 3shape.com.

Trios 3 Basic Intraoral Scanner
The new Trios 3 Basic intraoral scanner features the same core scanning technology as in all Trios models, and enables professionals to go beyond conventional impression-taking with a predictable and efficient “scan and send to lab” digital workflow.

Trios 3 Basic comes with unique-to-Trios features such as AI Scan and real color and shade measurement, but does not include Trios excitement apps such as Trios Patient Monitoring, Trios Treatment Simulator and Smile Design, or restorative and orthodontic software.

Trios 3 Basic features a lightweight scanner handle, ultrafast speed scanning and documented accuracy for indications from fully edentulous and implant scanning to orthodontics. It is available as a wired, pen-grip model.

Ross Orthodontic
Ross Orthodontic recently introduced a new line of equipment, which includes multipurpose cabinetry and new seating options. Some highlights:

• The Ross Model T is designed for cost-conscious orthodontists or someone looking to upgrade from some older model units. The Model T comes either as a standalone unit, with a 6-inch-tall base for concealing existing connections without major plumbing changes, or as a mobile cart that can connect to a junction box or wall. The unit features ¾-inch cabinet-grade plywood construction, a white solid surface top and four storage drawers. It’s available in four standard colors.

• The Independence chair conforms to each patient for individual comfort and support. The fully upholstered design has no back cover or exposed framework, and eliminates exposed hinges to facilitate easy cleaning. The chair comes with a fixed-height cantilevered base and foot control with automatic return, and the foam rubber cushions conform to every patient to enhance comfort. The chair is available in 10 colors, features smaller wings for a sleek compact style and has an extra-thin back styling that allows unobstructed access to the field of operation.
