DePascale discovered earlier than most how life-changing braces can be: Almost 25 years ago, he was trying out a new pogo stick in the family living room, slipped and “promptly face-planted on the hardwood floor, hitting teeth-first.” He was rushed to the emergency room, where it was discovered that his braces had in fact saved his front teeth.  

Dr. Jason Battle Dr. Jason Battle says when his practice implemented dynamic scheduling, “My team was very nervous to veer off the protocol that all patients must be scheduled before leaving the office.” When they saw so many unfilled slots on a practice schedule that normally was booked straight several weeks in advance, “they thought our office was in full meltdown.” As Battle explains in his article, “A Dynamic Change,” instead of spending time working on recall appointments that weren’t really necessary, now team members fill different roles within the office, including marketing and creating new patient capacity. “They weren’t worried about being laid off,” he says. “But as we lost team members through attrition over the years, we didn’t need to replace them” because so much patient communication is now done virtually.
