Islandia, NY (August 6, 2014)—DENTSPLY GAC announced open registration for the 2015 DENTSPLY GAC Orthodontic World Congress today.  The conference will take place Feb. 18-21, 2015, at the stunning Loews Coronado Bay Resort in San Diego, CA.

This year’s meeting will feature sessions on a range of topics such as Contagious Marketing from New York Times Best Selling Author Jonah Berger, and the latest techniques in clinical orthodontics from Dr. Antonino Secchi and his colleagues from the Complete Clinical Orthodontics team (CCO).  The conference will include notable speakers, group discussions, and a half-day tactical workshop on the implementation of practice differentiators for the orthodontic staff.

The meeting opens on day 1 with the Business Insights session led by keynote speakers and bestselling authors, Jonah Berger, Steve Curtin, and Jon Acuff. Dr. Ben Burris and Dr. Lou Shuman will also present at the Business Insights session.  Dr. Burris is owner of one of the largest privately run orthodontic practices in North America, a co-owner of The Progressive Orthodontist magazine and Study Group (TheProOrtho.com), and a business mentor for the newly introduced Young-Docs study group. Dr. Shuman is President of Pride Institute, former Vice President of Clinical Education, Strategic Relations, and Professional Development at Align Technology, Managing Editor of Dental Sleep Practice, and Chairman of the Technology Advisory Board for Sesame Communications.  He is renowned for his expertise in internet strategy, strategic relations, emerging technologies, digital marketing methods, and operational practice management.

The second day will consist of sessions on the CCO System featuring Dr. Antonino Secchi, founder of the "Complete Clinical Orthodontics System" (CCO System). Dr. Secchi’s passion for clinical orthodontics and commitment to education have made him a highly sought after international lecturer.  He will be joined for the full-day clinical session by fellow CCO Council members, Dr. Raffaele Spena, Dr. Ryan Tamburrino, Dr. Julia Garcia-Baeza, Dr. Rebecca Bockow and Dr. Martin Palomo.

For staff, day 2 offers role and topic specific breakout sessions led by the most knowledgeable and pragmatic practice growth experts in the industry.  These half-day tactical sessions will focus on the implementation of practice differentiators and innovative concepts presented during the Business Insights session.

The winners of the Orthodontic World Congress Research Award, sponsored by GCARE, DENTSPLY GAC’S Clinical Alliance for Research and Education, will also be announced at the conference.  Submissions will be judged by an independent panel of clinical reviewers who are among the top researchers in the country.  This newly established award is designed to promote and recognize excellence in clinical or translational research completed by orthodontic residents during the 2014 academic year.  Award winners will be invited to attend the DENTSPLY GAC Orthodontic World Congress and recognized at that event.

The 2015 DENTSPLY GAC Orthodontic World Congress will bring together orthodontists from around the world for two days of meetings, insightful speakers, recreation and plenty of networking opportunities guaranteed to create valuable and lasting relationships.
