ORANGE, Calif.—Ormco Corporation, a leading manufacturer and provider of advanced orthodontic technology and services, announced that registration is now open for The Forum 2016, the largest privately sponsored orthodontic event in North America.

The 15th annual conference will take place Feb. 10-13, 2016 at the oceanfront Terranea Resort in Rancho Palos Verdes, Calif., and will feature personalized education, one-on-one networking opportunities, and a spectrum of clinical and practice management sessions designed for the entire orthodontic team. Practices can register for The Forum by visiting Forum.ormco.com.

“In 2016 we will celebrate The Forum’s crystal anniversary,” said Patrik Eriksson, president of Ormco. “For 15 years, we have connected the orthodontic community with progressive educational content that helps doctors and staff members make a lasting impact on their patients and practices. The theme of the Forum this year will be ‘Face 2 Face,’ highlighting our commitment to delivering an engaging experience where industry experts, peers, and friends can gather to create meaningful relationships and discuss advancements in orthodontics. From the latest treatment modalities and techniques to practice differentiation strategies, we invite orthodontic professionals from around the world to join us for this unique educational opportunity.”

The Forum 2016 is designed to keep participants at the forefront of global orthodontic methodologies. Doctors Chris Chang (Hsinchu, Taiwan), Ramon Perera (Lleida, Cataluña, Spain), and Stuart Frost (Arizona, U.S.) are just three of the notable speakers scheduled to present their philosophies and clinical cases on The Forum’s main stage. Throughout the four-day conference, participants will engage in a variety of workshops addressing beginner to advanced content on Damon passive self-ligation mechanics, finishing, open bites, Class II and Class III treatment, digital smile design, and much more.

“As someone who has been in the orthodontics industry for 28 years, I’m always looking for new ways to enhance my practice and better serve patients. I repeatedly look to Ormco as a trusted partner in those efforts and rely on the company for information on advancements related to innovative technology, educational resources, and practice support. The Forum 2016 is a can’t-miss continuing education event that will provide a hands-on approach for learning how to sharpen your orthodontic skills and techniques.” Dr. Chang commented.

Setting the tone for the event, participants new to passive self-ligation approaches are encouraged to attend the optional Pre-Forum Damon Essentials Seminar facilitated by Dr. Alan Bagden on Feb. 10, 2016. With 14 years of experience as a Damon System educator, Dr. Bagden will lead participants from the fundamentals of the Damon philosophy to a deeper knowledge on how to employ simplified passive self-ligating treatment mechanics.

Ormco will also host a charity event and silent auction as part of its 15-year crystal anniversary celebration benefitting Smile Train, a nonprofit that provides training and funding to empower doctors to provide free cleft repair surgery in over 85 developing countries.
