ST. PAUL‚ Minn.—Orthodontic business and treatment models are changing—patients have more choices, and consumerism is impacting how they make purchase decisions. At the same time, emerging technology is enabling new efficiencies and greater predictability in the practice of orthodontics.
“3M Oral Care is excited to launch its inaugural Excellere conference as a platform for clinical, professional and personal success,” said Sebastian Arana, president and general manager, 3M Oral Care. “Bringing together a global network of practitioners, Excellere will offer annual sessions in both the U.S. and Europe—providing all attendees with valuable insights into new technologies and innovations, as well as proven strategies for growth.”
Excellere 2018 welcomes the international orthodontic community to its inaugural event in San Diego, September 15–16, as well as to its Madrid, Spain, conference scheduled for September 21–22. Attendees at both locations will learn from fellow participants how to turn change into a competitive advantage and excel in this expanding market. 3M has also invited 3Shape to participate in this year’s events to demonstrate the digital transformation in orthodontics.
The company says that “excellere,” the Latin root word meaning “to elevate,” captures the spirit of 3M Oral Care’s commitment to helping practitioners grow, improve outcomes and elevate the practice of orthodontics. Beneficial for orthodontists, treatment coordinators, assistants and residents, presentations and hands-on activities will encompass key considerations that can help drive efficiencies, influence positive patient experiences and improve practice profitability.
Presented by the 3M Health Care Academy, Excellere offers eight CE credits. Planned as an annual event, sites for the 2019 Excellere conferences will be announced at the 2018 events.
