ORANGE, Calif.—Ormco has announced the program for the Forum 2019 held February 20–23, in San Antonio, Texas, at the JW Marriott San Antonio Hill Country Resort & Spa. The four-day event will bring attention to the industry’s most pressing topics ranging from airway and TMD treatment, new aligner therapy, advancements in passive-self ligation and more.
Among the more than twenty-five speakers at this year’s eighteenth annual event are Drs. Chris Chang (Hsinchu, Taiwan), Dwight Damon (Washington, U.S.), Stuart Frost (Arizona, U.S.), Daniel Klauer (Indiana, U.S.), Sonia Palleck (Ontario, Canada), Jamie Reynolds (Michigan, U.S.) and Vas Srinivasan (Sunshine Coast, Australia). Additional featured practice performance speakers will incorporate unique and inspirational approaches on achieving beyond clinical excellence. Drs. Grant Collins, Jeff Kozlowski, Dovi Prero, Sonia Palleck, and other experts will offer specific and actionable lessons on how to implement cutting-edge approaches to drive practice efficiency and increase patient demand.
Last year, the Forum welcomed more than 1,200 orthodontic professionals from more than countries.
“We aim to make this year’s event a fully-encompassing, interactive discussion that educates attendees on methods to help improve practice performance, drive customer engagement, discover new clinical techniques and fully leverage the latest product innovations,” said Sue Kolb, director of education at Ormco. “Whether they’re new to Ormco’s award-winning products and services, or have been a longtime user, attendees will walk away with a wealth of practice and treatment insights that go beyond the clinical fundamentals.”
The Forum 2019 will also highlight the below topics, among others:
- Airway, sleep and TMJ
- New aligner therapy
- Achieving clinical efficiency
- Results of improved control in PSL
- Integrating myofunctional therapy
- The path to digital excellence

Additionally, pre-Forum seminars will commence on Wednesday, February 20, led by Drs. Michael Bicknell and James Miller, who will provide detailed introductions to passive self-ligation and digital treatment modalities, from the philosophies to detailed planning and mechanics. To cap off the Forum, a “Ranch & Rodeo” charity fundraiser benefitting the Smile for a Lifetime Foundation will be held at an offsite location.
