PracticeWorks Announces New Features and Updates to the KODAK 8000C Digital Panoramic and Cephalometric System
Product Offers Smaller Footprint and Simplified Positioning
ATLANTA – PracticeWorks, LLC, the exclusive maker of KODAK Dental Systems, announces new updates to the KODAK 8000C Digital Panoramic and Cephalometric System, including reduced footprint, simplified cephalometric positioning and improved temporal clamp positioning for panoramic radiography.
Less space is required to install a KODAK 8000C System. The width of the KODAK 8000C System has decreased by more than a foot and a half, reducing the dimensions to 7’ 8.51” (W) feet. The previous KODAK 8000C System required a space of 9’ 2.23” (W) feet for installation. Additionally, the redesigned cephalometric head is smaller, simplifying the positioning and image acquisition process. Lastly, the connection has been updated to Ethernet, ensuring very fast transfer time of an image to practice management software.

Features like the image size, exposure time and image procedure remain the same with the image size staying at 20 x 26 cm, exposure time at 0.1 seconds to 3.2 seconds and the cephalometric acquisition at one shot.
The KODAK 8000C System is the world’s first direct digital cephalometric system to expose all standard cephalometric images using “one-shot” technology, capturing images in just over a second and reducing blurriness and risk of retakes. Combined with the unit’s high-frequency generator, this one-shot technology delivers maximum-quality cephalometric and panoramic images without sacrificing patient safety.
